Genel olarak yöntem Türkçemizdeki kullanıma çok benziyor. Dikkat edilmesi gereken noktalar: -yüz, bin ve milyonları ifade edeceğimiz zaman "one" yerine "a" de kullanabilir.

-Yüzden büyük sayıları söylerken, küsuratın son iki basamağından önce "and" kelimesi söylenir.

-Ayrıca, günlük kullanımda bazen 10 000 den küçük sayıları söylerken, thousand kelimesini kullanılmadan 100 ün katları olarak ifade edilebiliyor.

Bu kural özellikle 100 ün tam katı olan sayılarda ve genelde de paradan bahsederken kullanılıyor.

İngilizce olarak sıra sayıları belirtmek istersek, 1 (ve 1 ile biten sayılara [81 gibi]) sayısına "st", 2 sayısına "nd" 3 sayısına "rd" ekleriz. Diğer sıra sayılar sonlarına "th" eklenerek oluşturulur. Bu eklerin "üstsimge" olarak yazılması gerekir.
